American Vacuum Society

The AVS is a volunteer-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the science and technology of vacuum, materials, surfaces, interfaces, thin films, and plasmas, and to providing a variety of educational opportunities. Department of Energy Reports Bibliographic Database

contains citations for all USA Department of Energy (DOE) sponsored scientific and technical reports sent to Government Printing Office (GPO) Depository Libraries, covering the period of January 1, 1994 to present. Current Department citations are added weekly as new reports are shipped to participating Depository Libraries. Patrons searching the DOE database will be directed to the Depository Libraries in a chosen state(s), that received the full text of the selected DOE report. Full text of reports are currently supplied to Depository Libraries on microfiche.

Metals Information Analysis Center (MIAC)

Materials research and development at Rockwell Science Center is pursued from the view of a material user, rather than a supplier. Optimum use of advanced, application-specific materials and processes requires research in two broad areas. The first is the characterization, improvement and control of specific aspects of the function of a material as well as the evaluation of its performance and life cycle factors.
